How to use a underwrap?

You can use it directly on the base (after removing the original grip). We highly recommend removing the original grip, as it can get stuck to the racket, which can be annoying later on when holding the racket.
ViWill’s Custom Cushioned Underwrap helps absorb the maximum amount of impact and vibration helping you to avoid injuries and increase control on court.

Skal jeg stadig bruge overgrip?

Yes. The underwrap is not a stand-alone product! You are free to use any overgrip you like, customising your grip perfectly to your hand and play.
The overgrip does another job - helping you with tack/stickiness

Can I use an underwrap with my Hesacore, X-grip, or other Ergonomic silicone grips?

What is the difference in using underwrap or just normally overgrip?

ViWills Underwrap is a completely different material and design. The abuse is made of a solid PU material in a piece, designed to add grip/absorb sweat/durable. Our underwrap is designed to absorb vibration/shock – to avoid damage and give a softer feeling, while you play. We have carefully designed the way in which the foam is extruded to create the cells ' functionality – each interconnected, absorbent, durable, but still easy to tear in pieces. Underwrap is also thinner and wider, making it easier to customize the grip perfectly to your preference. The combination of the two is ideal.

What overgrips can you recommend?

Overgrips is a different science, and while we are working on our own range we recommend to try other grip to test their stickiness, durability and quality. The one that you like best, we recommend 😉

How many times do I need to wrap the underwrap?

We recommend approximately 5-8 layers (for Padel/Tennis) and 2-4 (for badminton/Squash), depending on your larger hand size and preference. You can check with your index finger: make sure that there is around an index finger between the base of your hand and your fingertips, when you hold the racket. Then add your assault. Please note that the abuse will add yet another layer, so the grip gets a little thicker.

How often should I change underwrap?

We recommend changing it every 3rd time you change your overgrip or every 2-3 months, whatever comes first. The underwrap can absorb water and become hard, causing the benefits of the underwrap to diminish.
A standard grip is 1m, our rolls are 3 times wider and each roll is 20m
